Description
Glenwillow’s owner, Peter Fyffe, together with family and friends, planted their vines at Yandoit Creek, between Castlemaine and Daylesford in 1999. This area was first settled by Swiss Italians in the gold rush period of the 1850’s who supplied wine to the thirsty diggers. Due to the remoteness of the vineyard, and to showcase Cherryl Fyffe’s original prints, they opened a Cellar Door and Print Gallery at the Bendigo Pottery Complex, rather than at the vineyard.
Glenwillow Wines is a quiet achiever in Central Victoria with regular high ratings by James Halliday. Their wines have also won trophies and gold medals at several prestigious wine shows such as Concours des Vins, Victorian Wine Show and Winestate Worlds Greatest Shiraz Challenge. Glenwillow Wines has just been awarded Best Small Cellar Door in the Bendigo region 2017 in Gourmet Traveller Wine.
Glenwillow Cellar Door, Etcetera Print Gallery and Olive Shop is open 11am to 5pm Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
