A unique, spacious, self contained, homely accommodation suitable for families or groups of friends, as well as couples or the lone traveller.
Description
Kurracaburn Heights is managed by owners Bruce and Michelle Hargreaves in the original building which housed the Korong Bush Nursing Hospital for more than 50 years. Bruce, in particular, has a deep connection with the property, born at the hospital and returning later as an apprentice builder with his father to work on various development projects.
Kurracaburn Heights is set on two acres backing on to bush land and overlooking the Donaldson Park recreation reserve and Nardoo Creek. It is just a five-minute walk to Wedderburn’s main street, with its shops, cafes, parkland and hotel.
The accommodation is contained in one half of one of the town’s most historic buildings, the former hospital and child health service. The guest wing includes three well-appointed bedrooms, basic kitchen facilities, bathroom and many thoughtful touches to make visitors feel comfortable and well cared for. All areas, including the bathroom, have wheelchair access.

Directions
Wedderburn is the half way resting place between Melbourne and Mildura. If travelling from Melbourne or Bendigo, we are the next stop after Inglewood. Coming into the township around the bend, take the second right hand turn into Godfrey Street. Our home is on the top of the hill as you turn into Hospital Street. If arriving from Mildura way Wedderburn is the next town on from Charlton. As you drive through the town take the left turn at Soldiers Memorial Park in Chapel Street, then a right turn into Hospital Street. Continue until just before the road turns in Godfrey Street. Our home has a large brick entrance with signage.
