The Living Arts Space is attached to the Bendigo Visitor's Centre which located at the front of the majestic historic Post Office building, in Bendigo's Pall Mall. The Space offers professional Central Victorian creatives somewhere to showcase their work through carefully curated exhibitions, demonstrations, performative works, workshops and artist talks. CURRENT EXHIBITION ASTRO BENDIGO Imagine a Bendigo unlike any you've known—a frozen moment in time, the hands of a clock held between seconds, as if the world hit pause during some inexplicable, apocalyptic happening. The streets are a cinematic mid-century dreamscape; vintage signage whispering the promises of a vibrant past while UFOs glide above in a curious dance, their alien passengers gazing down at a city seemingly abandoned during its daily rhythm.
Welcome to Astro Bendigo. A unique cityscape brought to life by artist Chris Duffy, that will transport visitors to a whimsical world of retro-futurism, humour, and nostalgia. This exhibition is a visual feast of large scale works on canvas that capture the essence of Bendigo's unique charm and its potential cosmic future.
Astro Bendigo is free to attend and is open daily from 15 February – 20 April 2025
