A bluestone building that became the home of the Maryborough Midlands Historical Society in 1976 is today a wonderful museum to visit.
Description
Worsley Cottage is furnished with period pieces and has a huge collection of goldfields maps, photographs and mining relics on display. In the backyard is a Squatter’s Slab Hut Circa 1844, the oldest known building in the district, with shingle roof & rammed earth floor lined with hessian & canvas.
